EXPLORE® Test (For grades 3-6)
The Einstein Academy is a designated test location for the Explore Test offered by The Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS). This achievement test, offered by the Center for Talent Development (CTD), conducts above grade-level testing for high performing students in grades 3 through 9. NUMATS uses the grade 8 EXPLORE test-developed by ACT. Out of grade level testing helps to identify, assess, and recognize students with exceptional mathematical and/or verbal reasoning abilities. The Center Code for The Einstein Academy is 209330.
The Talent Search gives students the opportunity to take a test designed for older students. Tests with a higher ceiling than grade level tests reveal more about the academic abilities of students who typically score in the 95th percentile and above and allow parents and educators to have a greater understanding of the strengths of the individual.
After students test, parents receive comprehensive information about how their student measures up to other gifted students. This valuable feedback helps families plan for the future.
As a designated location for the Explore Test, The Einstein Academy will be administering this two hour test at the Main building, located on its campus at 747 Davis Road, Elgin, IL. Calculators are permitted.
In order to participate in the Explore Test, you must register through the Northwestern University website location: http://www.ctd.northwestern.edu/numats/register/.
You can also request a registration form by e-mail or by calling the Center for Talent Development at (847) 491-3782, extension 3.
*$14 late registration fee will apply.
