Sit down to a cool, "Refreshing Smoothie" on Wednesday, March 1st. The cost for this delicious treat is only $5 and can be picked up in the Fine Arts Room before Musercise. All orders are due by Tuesday, February 28th. Enjoy a yummy treat and support our Sea Camp fundraiser!
The Einstein Academy Post Office is officially in full swing. The students are free to send letters to their friends in a different class, in their same class, or even a staff member in the school. Mr. Kane's class is in charge of sorting the incoming mail and getting it to the appropriate classroom. The students are having a great time writing to their high school pen pals. All of the teachers have an address for their room and this service gives all students the added practice of correctly addressing a letter to be sent in the mail.
Students in grades Pre-K through high school are writing stories to compete in a Young Authors competition. After completing their stories by the first week of March, the stories will be sent to outside judges. The judges will pick one winner from grades Pre-K through 4th grade, and another winner from grades 5th through 8th. High school students will be judged separately. The winner will have the option of attending the Illinois Young Authors Conference in Springfield, Illinois.
The new Before/Aftercare forms are now available through the end of the year. Included is also information regarding before/aftercare availability during the Sea Camp week. Any student Prek-3rd needing before/aftercare during that week MUST BE REGISTERED BY FEBRUARY 28th. All other forms must be turned in two weeks in advance to receive the discounted rate of $5 per hour, otherwise the rate of $8 per hour will apply. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Amy Oleszczuk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Change for Hunger
Tuesday, February 28th is the last day to collect donations for the "Change for Hunger" campaign. Please consider donating to a worthy cause, $.75 is enough money to feed a person for a full day! Remember the class with the most money collected will enjoy a delicious pizza party. Our goal is to raise at least $500. Our corporate sponsor Elarasys Worldwide has generously agreed to match our donation!
