Geography Bee:  The final round of the 2019 Geography Bee will be held next Friday, January 25th immediately following Musercise in the Main Building.  Parents are welcome to come and cheer on the students!

Empower Illinois Update:  As a reminder, today, January 18, families who registered with Empower Illinois will receive an email to access part two in their empowerXchange portal.  Part two is when they will upload household and income documents, and complete the full application.  Visit www.empowerillinois.orgfor additional application resources including the how to apply video, FAQ's, step-by-step application instructions and more.  These resources are available in English and Spanish.

Recess Update:  For recess safety, Temperature, including the wind-chill, is checked each morning.  If the wind-chill at the time of recess is in the teens or below, recess is held indoors in the gym.  If the wind-chill is in the 20's and above, recess is held outdoors.  Other situations are considered, such as rain, ice, extreme wind, etc. when determining location.  Once again, please be sure your child dresses appropriately for the winter season.  Students must have coat, hat, gloves, snow pants and boots, in order to be outdoors and play in the snow.

Fresh Farm Eggs:  There are farm fresh eggs for sale by our very own 3rd grade student, Shayna Stark.  The cost of the eggs is $5 per dozen and all proceeds are donated to our school.  If you are interested in purchasing a dozen eggs, please see Miss Toni.

Latin News:  Read and review the academic January monthly Latin newsletter from Mr. Savage.  Please see the attached link bit.ly/EinLatinnewsJan2019 to learn what our Einstein students are studying in Latin class.

Family Dinner & Hoe-Down:  Join us for a delicious cowboy-themed dinner of hotdogs and vegetarian chili, with an array of side dishes and desserts, followed by square dancing on Sunday, January 27th at 5pm in the school gymnasium.  Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 22nd for this fun evening and informativeevent.   All attendees will be able to register for parent-teacher conferences in February.

Lunchroom Reminder:  Remember, that due to severe nut allergies of several Einstein students, our school is a nut-free environment.  Please do not send your child in with peanut butter or any nut product or food.  Thank-you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe.

Auction Photos:  Reminder, pictures from the auction are ready to view!  There are many wonderful photos, visit www.enjoyphotos.com/Gallery/Default.aspx and order by January 31st (our school gets 20% of the proceeds!)
